At the beginning of the new semester, students majoring in tea culture at Zhejiang Shuren University had a lively interaction with professional teachers Yuan Wei and Zhang Xinghai in a unique "first lesson of the semester". Everyone actively asked about "how traditional Chinese tea culture can enter modern life". It was through such exchanges that a memory of tea road practice during the summer season was awakened again - it turned out that as early as June this year, a group of tree scholars had already used their footsteps and hands to go deep into Changxing and Anji in Huzhou, completing a deep decoding of the millennium tea veins.

From June 25th to 27th, 2025, the "Mingtan Lake Tea Vein Tracing Practice Team" led by teachers Yuan Wei and Zhang Xinghai went to the tea culture center to conduct a three-day immersive research. From the cultural awakening of the Tang Dynasty tribute tea house to the firsthand experience of the intangible cultural heritage technique of purple bamboo shoot tea; From the technological integration of modern tea factories to the ecological transformation of Anji Yu Village, the birthplace of the "Two Mountains Concept"; Moving on to the forward-looking layout of Anji's white tea industry and talent strategy, students not only reconstructed their understanding of tea culture while walking, but also touched upon the "living" soul and "new" momentum of China's tea industry in practice.

And this experience was not sealed off with the end of summer vacation. After the start of the school year, the tea culture major organized multiple sharing sessions and practical results reports. Classmates bring back what they see and think to the classroom and engage in discussions with more teachers and students. What is even more exciting is that the college has reached a preliminary intention of school enterprise cooperation with Longwangshan Tea Co., Ltd., and will jointly promote the construction of the "Future Tea Valley" research and learning base, and establish positions for student internships and innovation and entrepreneurship incubation.

Ten years of talent introduction, ten thousand people starting their own businesses "is no longer just a vision for the enterprise, but is also becoming a growth opportunity for the university. Many students who participated in the practice expressed their hope to go deep into the front line of the tea industry in the future, and inject youthful innovation into traditional tea culture with the help of their professional knowledge.

The tea road is long and steady. From summer practice to the continuation of the new semester, the teachers and students of the Tea Culture major at Shuren College are demonstrating through practical actions that tea culture is not just a reflection of history, but also a modern practice that involves the participation of contemporary and young people. Rooted in tradition and embracing the future, they continue to write youth stories belonging to this era in the fragrance of tea.
